As anticipation builds for ¿Qiensave?’s upcoming “Popurri EP,” the dynamic musical group sets to release their second single “Tumbando Caña (El Alacrán) / Al Gato Y Al Ratón / Yo No Bailo Con Juana” or as we call it Popurri #2, which was released on Friday, March 22, 2024, presented by Que Pasa Entertainment and distributed through ONErpm. This release marks another exciting chapter in ¿Qiensave? musical journey, leading to their upcoming “Popurri EP”, out May 3, 2024.

Popurri #2 showcases the group’s versatility and pays homage to the vibrant and energetic Quebradita genre. With “Tumbando Caña (El Alacrán),” “Al Gato Y Al Ratón,” and “Yo No Bailo Con Juana” woven seamlessly together, ¿Qiensave? crafts a musical tapestry that captures the essence of this traditional Mexican dance style.

The inspiration for our latest single came spontaneously during a rehearsal session, as recounted by band member Carlos. “We started playing ‘Tumbando Caña’ in rehearsal. I think it was one of those moments in between songs where Ricardo and (Flaco el) Jandro usually start riffing on a beat or chord progression, and Mario, Willi, and I jumped right in. It was super fun.”

The band quickly integrated elements from other Quebradita classics, such as “Al Gato y al Ratón” and “Yo No Bailo Con Juana,” aligning perfectly with the Quebradita style they were experimenting with. “After playing with it a bit and fusing the ¿Qiensave? style we have into this popurrí, we decided we should include it in our set to keep the people jumping and moving,” Carlos added.

“Tumbando Caña (El Alarcán) / Al Gato y al Ratón / Yo No Bailo Con Juana” serves as a tip of the hat or homage to these beloved Quebradita classics, showcasing ¿Qiensave? signature Cumbia Urbana style and their commitment to keeping audiences energized and entertained.
