From My Bedroom To Broadway traces the journey of DJ Baby J, prolific New York City DJ and Party
Promoter. Baby J founded Show Down with Alvin II in November 1973 following a party at Marymount
College featuring Jose “DJ Mr. J” Torres from the Bronx. For many years DJ Baby J served as resident
DJ and Party Promoter for USA Roller Rink in Jackson Heights, Queens and Roseland Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan. From My Bedroom To Broadway contains a selection of photographs and flyers from 1973 – 1984.
