Boleros Psicodélicos II Out Now via ATO + Tour Dates! feat. Angelica Garcia, Hermanos Gutiérrez, iLe, Cuco, Mireya + more

ICYMI – Adrian Quesada has released his new album, Boleros Psicodélicos IIout now on ATO. Joined by a long list of artists, friends and Latin alternative visionaries, Boleros Psicodélicos II deepens Adrian’s decades-long mission to celebrate, preserve and reimagine the eccentric and unsung style of balada music that first emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s. As the sequel to 2022’s beloved Boleros PsicodélicosBoleros Psicodélicos II combines brand new, original music, with reimagined renditions of classic boleros, as it exemplifies the ways in which he has “raised the bar for Latin alternative artistry”  (Los Angeles Times).

MORE INFO – Produced by Adrian Quesada and Alex Goose (Aaron Frazer, Childish Gambino), Boleros Psicodélicos II brings in additional appearances from Chilean singer and songwriter Gepe, Cuban singer Daymé Arocena, Colombian jazz combo Monsieur Periné, Puerto Rican vocalists Mireya and former Calle 13 member iLe, and more. From the mournful strains of opening cut “Ojos Secos,” featuring the indie pop sensibility of Los Angeles singer/songwriter Cuco, to the visceral grit of “No Juego,” with stellar vocals by LA diva Angélica García, these new songs preserve the retro charm of the first album, but with an extra touch of immediacy. PRAISE FOR ADRIAN QUESADA

“A 12-track sonic field trip through Quesada’s Latin American influences — and a testament to teamwork…‘Boleros II’ finds Quesada as aurally slick as ever” – LA Times

“I was so sucked in by this record, which is so timeless and stylish…it’s updated for now and it hits home in all the best ways” – NPR Music

“A political and social statement at a moment when Latin music finds itself at a crucial crossroads, with increasingly strict immigration policies threatening its continued explosive growth in the U.S.” – Billboard

“Quesada has become something of a Latin American marvel…The genre may be extravagant but the dozen songs arrive clipped, lush and, yes, psychedelic” – The Observer

“The who’s who on this record is amazing…There’s prestige, there’s authenticity, there’s great music, and he hangs with all the people that we hang with” – NPR Alt.Latino

“Quesada’s signature blend of psychedelic Latin American rhythms and hip-hop beats transports listeners into something both familiar and uncannily unknown…The result feels otherworldly, like a place you didn’t know you were aching to return to until the song took you there. And we want to live there immediately, heartbreak and all” – Remezcla

“Quesada has seemingly done it all when it comes to music. From playing with Prince to co-founding the Black Pumas, he is a stalwart in the art form. And yet, he still feels as if he’s honing his sound, polishing the details of his style and learning more and more about his six-string instrument” – VICE

“His most blockbuster effort yet…Boleros Psicodélicos II is yet another personal triumph by Quesada, whose collage of bolero, rap, and rock has turned him into a cultural force” – Paste
