Victor Cruz was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and raised in the heart of the South Bronx. At the tender age of sixteen he performed stand-up comedy for the first time in New York City. He studied in the Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase College and the day before graduation, booked his first role on HBO’s The Sopranos. Some of TV & film credits include: Annie (2014), The Other Woman (2014), The Humbling, Gotham, Blue Bloods, Law & Order, and NBC’s The Blacklist.
THE STOCKROOM
was written by Victor Cruz and Directed by Victor Cruz and Guru Enlightment. The story follows stockroom supervisor Joseph Rodriguez, who once had a dream to be stand-up comic. After a failed promotion, his original dream begins to resurface. Urban legend tells us, if you’ve been in the stockroom for ten years or more, you’ll never leave. Joseph is about to hit that mark and he’ll have to decide what he’s going to do with his life before the clock strikes midnight
THE STOCKROOM FILM EXPERIENCE (SFE)
is a program that was developed as a way to inspire and encourage college students nationwide. The film tackles themes on dreaming and facing challenges that sometimes stand in the way of success and reaching our goals. The film has already inspired hundreds of people through festivals, educational screenings and live events
