Today ¿Qiensave? is proud to announce the release of their latest single, La Poderosa. La Poderosa tells the story of a strong woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. La Poderosa was released on International Women’s Day, Monday, March 8, 2021, on all digital platforms.
La Poderosa is an energetic empowering cumbia that tells the story of a strong independent motivated woman. She’s goal-oriented and laser-focused, a woman that knows what she wants and how to get it. Fighting with courage amongst all social barriers and obstacles, the old society may have put in her way.
When asked, Carlos, singer of ¿Qiensave? said, “Releasing La Poderosa on International Women’s Day was a no-brainer, if you look at our previous work, women have always played an important role in our music in one way or another”. Carlos also went on to say, “When creating this song we knew we were creating it for todas las mujeres poderosas en nuestra vidas, y en todo el mundo”. International Women’s Day is a time when we honor the achievements of women throughout history and across the globe. On this day We invite you to come together and celebrate the fight and resilience many women took up for women’s rights. Additionally, in the last few years, the month of March has become Women’s month.
