Co-leaders Omar Sosa and Senegalese kora master Seckou Keita have crafted a gem of a ‘World-Jazz’ recording, exquisitely beautiful, and unique in its mix of piano and kora and other folkloric instruments. As the title suggests, Transparent Water is evocative
of translucence and flowing light. It is a deeply spiritual recording, reaching across five continents a compassionate and captivating artistic dialogue beyond musical category.
Featured are traditional Chinese flute player Wu Tong, Venezuelan percussionist Gustavo Ovalles and Japanese koto player Mieko Miyazaki. Co-produced by Paris-based drummer / producer Steve Argüelles.
