NHMC IMPACT AWARDS 
This past Friday, The Annual National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) Impact Awards took place at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.  The Black Tie event honors Latinos making positive impact in film and TV.
2016 marks the 30 year anniversary of NHMC,  a media advocacy and civil rights organization for the advancement of Latinos, working towards a media that is fair and inclusive of Latinos, and towards universal, affordable, and open access to communications
ABC Correspondent John Quiñones received the  Lifetime achievement Award
Actor Nicholas Gonzalez and Univision Television personality Jackie Guerrido co-hosted
 (Left) Actress Andrea Navedo received the Impact Awards for Outstanding Performance in a Television Series for her role in CW’s Jane the Virgin.(Right) Actress Ivonne Coll who plays her mom on the show presented the award
Actor Luiz Guzman received the impact award for Outstanding Performance in Film and Television for his performances in Code Black, Narcos and Boogie Nights – the award was presented by Wilmer Valderama
Actress Stephanie Beatriz received the impact award for Outstanding Performance in a Television Series for her role in Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Executive Producer Mauricio Mota received the impact award for Outstanding Online Series for
East Los High
