There is something special about a spectacular CD by an artist we are well familiar with like a Mario Ortiz, El Gram Combo, Eddie Palmieri, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Sonora Ponceña, etc. but the best surprises are when you discover a new artist for the first time. Jose Rivera, better known as Don Goro, is a street seasoned veteran tresero who has performed with yjre likes of Cheo Feliciano, Celia Cruz, Conjunto Clasico, Bobby Capo and Ismael Miranda to name a few.

He formed his own band some years back that went by the name Goro y su Conjunto Galaxico and a debut single “Como Tres En Un Zapato”. But its Don Goro’s debut CD, “Para El Mundo Latino”, that will have the world talking very soon with amazing arrangements by 6 of the best arrangers in Salsa: Luis ‘Perico’ Ortiz, Oscar Hernandez, Javier Fernandez, Willie Ruiz, Ernesto Tito Rivera and Pablo ‘Chino’ Nuñez.

While Goro incorporates the vocal talents of Gumby Navedo, Edwin Lebron and Gio Betancourt he welcomes invited headliners Herman Olivera & Rico Walker to the mix  as well as the musical talents of Bobby Allende, George Delgado, Dante Vargas, Piro Rodriguez, Kachiro Thompson, Sammy Velez, Dan Duclerc, Edwin Sanchez, Ray Colon, Chino Nuñez, Pedro Perez, Carlos El Grande, recorded between New York and Puerto Rico.

The big hits will be the first single “Para El Mundo Latino”, “Don Goro”, “Con El Swing De Ayer”, “Mi Celia”, “Aprovechate” “Como Se Toca En Conjunto”, ”Chupate Esa” and “Un Regalo Al Bailador”. By far one of the best releases of 2019.

Salsa is a music of the world and is being recorded worldwide. One country that has a huge association with Afro Caribbean music since the 30’s and 40’s is Mexico and today Salsa is alive and well. Recently there have been many Salsa bands surfacing in Mexico and none better than Orquesta Irawo de Mexico and their CD “Con Salsa De Verdad”.

Formed in 2016 by percussionist Jorge Bautista Rodriguez, who composes most of the 10 songs on this debut CD. The arrangements are superb and the vocal talents of Paco Ocampo, Perla Rodriguez and Rene Pitalunga were a pleasant surprise that make this a Top 20 Cd for 2019.

The ‘proof is in the pudding’ as we used to say many years ago and the tracks “Por Eso Soy”, “El Timbal”, “La Que Sabe”, “Tu Tienes, Yo Tengo”, “Pa’ Que Te Ponga a Goazr” and the Spanish version of Taylor Dayne’s “Love Will Lead You Back” (‘Quien Eres Tu’) are proof enough.
