The band has a trajectory of over thirty years and a mission of always delivering excellent music with power and precision for the dancer.
Edwin Ortiz was born and raised in East Harlem, New York City and is a product of the Johnny Colon Music School. He has learned and taken the example of the best in Salsa music, like Ray Barretto, Willie Colon and Larry Harlow. Keeping the tradition alive, he has surrounded himself with the best in the business. Edwin Ortiz Y La Mafia Del Guaguanco is an ensemble of musicians who are masters at their craft.
