Edwin Lebron “El Sonero Urbano” a young artist with lots of class, born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, has released his full-length salsa album in 2011 & features well-known and respected musicians and arrangers within the salsa/tropical genre. Not deterred by those who claim that “Salsa is dead”, Edwin hopes to keep the “clean” & “fresh” sound to the Tropical/Salsa genre.
Edwin, whose musical roots are traced back to his younger days attending church, and a talented family of singers and musicians, found his love for music at a very young age. Since the age of 4, Edwin began learning how to play instruments such as Piano, Guitar, Cowbells, Drums and pretty much anything he can get his hands on. Today, Edwin can play all the aforementioned including Congas, Bass, Timbales & Bongo, and in 1997 he had the privilege of attending one of the best vocal/music schools in the East Coast, The Westminster Conservatory of Music at Princeton University.

Edwin Lebron has had many accomplishments, as a young artist, taking 1st and 2nd place in many singing competitions such as The NJN Hispanic Youth Showcase, National Music Showcase of Pennsylvania, Showcase 2000 of NY, and has auditioned for movies like: The Bone Collector and The Camp. He has also performed at the world famous Apollo, Radio City & Carnagie Hall as a back-up vocalist for Brenda K Starr, Madison Square Garden with Salsa Legend Ismael Miranda and has also performed as a back-up vocalist for Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tony Succar, India, Tito Nieves, Tony Vega, Frankie Negron, Lalo Rodriguez, Miosotis, Jerry Rivera, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Andy Montañez, Viti Ruiz and many of the industry’s top Latin artists. He has performed at the world famous “CopaCabana” in NY many times, Latin Quarters, Calle 8 in Miami with Miosotis, David Kada and many more.
In 2002 he co-wrote the hit song “Por Temor” with salsa singer Miosotis. He has also recorded with christian artist: Puchi Colon, R&B duo: Nina Sky, Marc Anthony’s father Don Felipe Muñiz, Miosotis, Luisito Quintero, Raul Agraz, Tito De Gracia, Erben Perez and many more, and is featured in the live CD recording of “En Vivo Desde El Copacabana: 60 Años De Historia” released by Sony Records. He has opened up shows for Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tito Nieves & Elvis Crespo @ the CopaCabana in NY, and El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico at Fiesta on the parkway in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2013-14-15 & 2016, he recorded background vocals for Salsa legend Tito Nieves aka “El Pavarotti De La Salsa” “Mis Mejores Recuerdos”, “En Dos Idiomas” and others.
He is featured as a lead vocalist on David Gonzalez Jr’s “El Principe Del Timbal” Album, Victor Colon Jr’s “Sandunga Rumba” and a Hot Duet with Celeste Polanco on the song “Valiente”.  He has released many singles, just to name a few, “Un Banquete De Salsa Y Reggaeton”, “La Paga” & “Esta Cuarentena” in which features New generation Salseros like Kayvan Vega & Nor-Bert & are available through all digital downloading sites. He has toured as a background vocalist with “El Caballero De La Salsa, Gilberto Santa Rosa, India, Tony Succar and Tito Nieves, and released his 3rd album “XtraOrdinario” on Nov, 10th 2017.
Now, in 2020, Edwin Lebron releases this new single “Close To You”, originally recorded & released by Maxi Priest in 1992.

28 Years later, Edwin releases this 90’s hit in salsa with an amazing team of Arranger & Musicians like: Multi-Grammy Award winner Ramon Sanchez, Jessie Caraballo, Gino Picart Jr. Elton Reyes, Juaco Cardona, Tito De Gracia, Rich Rivera & Miguel Guerrero.
