Edley Shine Ft Karlex Pitt & Musick – D.R. Lova

The legendary Edley Shine of 90’s Hip Hop Group Born Jamericans has been blazing a trail as a solo independent artist, releasing his Based-on Talent EP in 2020 on his own Shinealous Records imprint. The amazing body of work has garnered praise amongst his peers as a producer and label.

#DABIGVOICE, a moniker he has adopted over the years, has toured South America, which has connected him to a huge Latin American audience

Edley Shine partnered with Karlex Pitt and Musick via a mutual friend Cortez Campbell, who lives in the Dominican Republic. After getting the track, Shine
recorded his parts and arranged a studio session in Puerto Plata where Karlex and Musick added their verses.

With the single D.R.LOVA “I’m connecting and speaking directly to my audience in the Latin American community. I know that many of the most successful artists in the Latin world are fans of my prior work”.

The single, a seamless hybrid of Reggaeton and Dancehall, is produced by Edley Shine & Yusnoriry Rojas.

Karlex Pitt Karla Pitta Garcia, Known as Karlex Pitt, was born on the province of Espaillat, Sabaneta De Yasica, Dominican Republic.

She studied vocal techniques and learned to dance, also learned the english and french languages and improved her musical career. She can sing any genre from Balada to Bachata to Urban.

She was the winner of several dance competitions in D.R.

She is a composer of her own music.

Singer-songwriter José Daniel Ariza Rodríguez (stage name MuSick) was born in Queens, New York, on August 8, 1986. At the age of 3, his family moved to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. MuSick has always had a passion for music thanks to the influence of his older brother, who exposed him to various genres such as jazz, hip-hop, reggae and dancehall from a very young age. Some of his favorite artists include the Red-Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz. Dre, and Tupac. When he was 7 years old, he enrolled in theater courses which allowed him to play theological roles of protagonists in several plays such as Hercules, The Stone of Happiness and The Circus.

MuSick moved to Miami to pursue his musical dreams, creating an independent label called Heavy Weight MuSick with a partner. In 2015, the label had a media tour in the country, and at that time MuSick fell prisoner under the Dominican justice system. He was sentenced to 4 years in La Victoria, where he managed to film the first music video in the history of a Dominican prison.
