Fuego Taibori is the reincarnation of 2 New York salsa bands from the late 70’s, Fuego 77 & Sonido Taibori who’ve joining forces to bring back some of the New York salsa from the time. Featuring lead vocalist David Sanchez and lead by bandleader Luis Montanez, Be Mine (first released on the 1977 Fuego 77 album on Allegre Records) is the first of 2 songs recorded in
January, 2024 at Allerton Studios in the Bronx. The songs feature some of the best musicians in New York City and Puerto Rico. The 2nd song “Unidos 2024” (also first released in 1978 on Fania Records and written and originally sung by Tito Nieves) is a re-doing of an old Sonido Taibori hit. We’ve put our own Fuego Taibori/2024 spin on both songs. Unidos 2024 will be
