The band (and the movement it’s creating), is today’s answer to bringing cultures and musical styles together with an experience that not only reaches across multigenres, but multi‐generations as well.

With a band that features some of New York City’s renowned Latin and Jazz musicians, led by trumpeter andsingerLuisE.Ramirez,ALatinMovementtakesthe listener on a passionate journey through hints of the history of Latin Jazz, Salsa, Reggae and Soul that musicloving connoisseurs immediately recognize and relate to, while also presented and packaged in a way that younger audiences respect and enjoy just as much.
A fixture on the NYC live music scene, with partnerships with city organizations that have given the band a vehicle to perform at local music festivals and chic venues in the NYC tri‐state area, A Latin Movementis quickly catching on amongst fans seeking an escape from the uninspiring and simplistic music around us we are constantly forced to digest.

Why should music no longer challenge us or inspireus?
That’s a question and an issue A Latin Movement dares to tackle through its music while simultaneously offering the listener a friendly invitation into its home; where everyone’s invited to gather together to jam and make good music.
As lead singer and trumpeter Luis E. Ramirez puts it,”In my life and musical journey, I’ve had the honor of meeting and playing with so many great musicians in many different genres. I figured there has to be a way that we can all jam together to somehow learn from each other and share our musical experiences. With that mindset, I formed ‘A Latin Movement’. Using these musical influences and experiences that I’ve gained throughout my life, while adding a little of my own sound, and then sharing it with everyone else in the room, and now, for the first time, I get to also share it with the world is an amazing feeling that grows stronger everyday.
To put it simply, ‘A Latin Movement’ is meant to empower young and veteran musicians alike to keep our music alive through the sharing of our combined musical journey.”
