From the streets of New York to international stages around the world, FRAGANCIA has built a remarkable career defined by evolution, authenticity, and an unmistakable passion for music.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in Miami from the age of 10, FRAGANCIA grew up surrounded by the diverse musical cultures that would eventually shape his artistic identity. His connection to New York became equally important, particularly the Bronx, where he developed his early skills as a rapper and performer and learned the importance of authenticity, rhythm, and connecting with an audience.
His breakthrough came as a member of DLG — Dark Latin Groove, one of the most influential Latin groups of the 1990s. Working alongside acclaimed producer Sergio George, FRAGANCIA became part of a movement that helped redefine the relationship between salsa, Latin pop, hip-hop, and contemporary urban sounds.
With DLG, he performed on stages around the world and contributed to a catalog of songs that became part of Latin music history, including “La Quiero a Morir,” “Juliana,” “Qué Mala Eres,” “Volveré,” and “No Morirá.” The group’s accomplishments included recognition from the Grammy Awards, Billboard, Emmy Awards, and Premios Lo Nuestro.
While audiences know FRAGANCIA for his distinctive voice and commanding stage presence, there is
another essential part of his artistry that defines his work: FRAGANCIA writes, arranges, and produces his own music.
His music is not simply something he performs—it is something he creates. From the initial idea and songwriting process to the arrangements, musical direction, production, and final artistic vision, FRAGANCIA is deeply involved in the creation of his work. This hands-on approach allows him
to move freely between genres while maintaining a sound and identity that are uniquely his own.
That creative independence has become one of the defining characteristics of his solo career.
One of the defining moments of FRAGANCIA’s solo journey came with “PORQUE TE TENGO QUE OLVIDAR,” a solo hit that marked a major milestone in his career and demonstrated his ability to establish himself beyond his DLG legacy.
He continued expanding his musical universe with releases including “UN NEGRO SABROSO,” “CASA
CAMPO,” and “MAKARAO.”
With “CÁSATE CONMIGO,” FRAGANCIA revealed another dimension of his artistry, delivering a beautiful romantic ballad that showcased his ability to translate emotion into music while highlighting his talents as a songwriter, arranger, and producer.
He then embraced reggae and dancehall influences with “INFLUENCIA,” followed by “ME TOY PASANDO,” continuing to demonstrate his versatility and willingness to explore new sounds.
FRAGANCIA’s latest release, “HISTORIA SIN CONTAR,” represents another bold step in his artistic evolution. Released in August 2026, the track embraces an Afrobeat-inspired sound, introducing a fresh, contemporary and global dimension to FRAGANCIA’s musical identity. Since its release, the song has been receiving a strong response, further demonstrating his ability to explore new musical territory while maintaining his own artistic essence. The title carries a deeper meaning.
HISTORIA SIN CONTAR represents more than a song. It represents the chapters of FRAGANCIA’s life and career that have yet to be fully told—the experiences, emotions, and musical ideas that continue to shape his journey. And now, he is telling that story through music.
FRAGANCIA is currently developing four major productions, each representing a different dimension of his creativity:

MAL DE AMORES A project centered around love, heartbreak, desire, relationships, and the emotional complexity of the human experience. This production explores the romantic and tropical side of FRAGANCIA while maintaining a contemporary perspective.
INFLUENCIA A project driven by reggae, dancehall, urban Caribbean rhythms, and international influences, reflecting FRAGANCIA’s ability to absorb sounds from different cultures and transform them into his own musical language.
LOUNGE MOOD A sophisticated and atmospheric production exploring a more elegant, intimate, relaxed, and sensual side of FRAGANCIA. It expands his artistic identity into a world where music, mood, and emotion come together.
