What can we say to add to the young legacy of percussionist Nestor Pacheco that has not been said. Son of the legendary Elio Pacheco, original co-founder of La Dimension Latina from Venezuela, and a long line of uncles heavily involved in music including Alfredo ‘Nene’ Pacheco.
Nestor has already been part of Dimension Latina, for five years, also a new version of his dad’s creation La mafia Latina, Los Pacheco’s, Dimension De Siempre, la Orquesta Amistad de Chuito Narvaez, and has accompanied many great international artists that have toured Venezuela.
For his dad’s “50 Aniversario” he brought together a huge line-up of over 30 vocalists/musicians to record what became a 2-CD set that quickly became a collector’s item.
In 2016 he begins to record with his new band, Orquesta Retrombon in what now is a completed album for everyone’s enjoyment that includes my favorites “El Tamarindo”, Sube Nene”, “Mi Cali Salsera”, “Sentimiento” and “Pasado Pisado”.
What you can say about Nestor Pacheco is that as a musician and producer he has not yet hit a peak and his rise will continue to make him one of today’s hottest acts in the music world.
